Banner Images

September 24, 2008 12:10 am

Sometimes we get questions or comments about our banner images. Banner images are the images at the top of our pages.

The banner images are random and represent the varying types of work that we do. No single image sums us up, nor is representative of the greater body of work available within this site. You might see modern dance, sports, portraits, civil dissent, and more.

Please click on the banner to see a different image. You might see dancers, abstracted portraits, a local landscape, a pet bunny, robocops, models, the occasional jazz or rock star, or genius classical composer or performer — whatever.

Metallic Prints Now Available

With a glossy finish and unique metallic appearance, these prints have extra visual interest and depth. They are printed on long-lasting Kodak Professional Endura Metallic paper.

This paper uses a proprietary combination of film laminate layers that produce striking, three-dimensional, lasting images on an ultra-bright background. The effect is sometimes described as “chrome on paper.”

You’ll see extreme sharpness, brightness, and color saturation with an intense black density that increases its appeal. The proprietary laminate layers also increase the durability and tear resistance of the final print, increasing the opportunities for display applications.

The downside? Metallic prints may not be set up for purchase in every gallery. If you do not see metallic prints as an option in the shopping cart, please let us know. You may contact us at chrisl at chrisleck dot com or use our contact page.

Cool new way to view our galleries

September 5, 2008 10:35 pm

There is an interesting new product available that adds an interesting and powerful way to view our galleries. It’s called Cooliris (formerly PicLens) and it’s free. Cooliris is an add-on that works in most popular browsers.

Cooliris provides a ‘3D Wall’ and other features. Besides our galleries (hosted by SmugMug), Cooliris works with Google, flickr, Picasa, YouTube, myspace, facebook, and others.

Try it with our Picture of the Day.
